Strengthening oil spill response: Lamor IMO OPRC Level 3 training in Colombia
Lamor has successfully delivered an IMO OPRC Level 3 training program in Cartagena, Colombia, bringing together over 25 executives and senior managers from more than 10 countries. The sessions focused on executive-level incident management, strategic decision-making and international cooperation across the oil & gas, port and terminal sectors.
To address these critical requirements, Lamor recently hosted an IMO OPRC (International Convention on Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Co-operation) Level 3 course in Cartagena, Colombia. Designed specifically for senior executives, disaster management leaders and high-level decision-makers, the Level 3 course focuses on command, control and strategy during major marine pollution incidents.
Global gathering of leaders
The training brought together over 25 senior leaders from more than 10 countries across the oil, gas, port, and terminal sectors. This global training course provided a unique platform for knowledge exchange, joint problem-solving and alignment on international best practices.
Throughout the session, participants engaged in high-level strategic scenarios covering emergency command structures, regulatory frameworks, media and stakeholder management, and environmental risk mitigation. The collaborative atmosphere enabled attendees to benchmark their organizations' response protocols against international standards.
