Lamor showcases environmental solutions at the EU–Caribbean Investment Mission in the maritime sector
In June 2026, Lamor was selected as one of only ten European companies to join the first EU–Caribbean Investment Mission in the maritime sector. The high-level delegation traveled across Barbados, Trinidad and Antigua to advance strategic public-private partnerships focused on sustainable port modernization and marine safety.
Lamor was selected to participate in the prestigious EU–Caribbean Investment Mission in the maritime sector, which took place from June 8–12, 2026. Organized under the European Union’s Global Gateway Investment Agenda, this exclusive initiative brought together senior executives from ten leading European maritime and technology companies to accelerate sustainable infrastructure projects in the region.
The Caribbean sits at a critical crossroads of global trade routes, making the modernization of its port infrastructure and the enhancement of its environmental safeguards a regional priority. Over an intensive five-day itinerary, Lamor had the opportunity to showcase world-class oil spill response, coastal protection and environmental service solutions directly to government ministers, port authorities and key private stakeholders across Barbados, Trinidad and Antigua.
Tailored environmental solutions for regional hubs
During the mission, we engaged with Barbados Port Inc. to explore collaborations on port infrastructure and joined ministerial discussions in Trinidad regarding marine safety, coastal protection and port development. In Antigua, we presented to port and regulatory authorities to evaluate opportunities for sustainable infrastructure ashore.
Our participation gained significant local and international visibility. Following the discussions in Trinidad, Dr. Kennedy Swaratsingh, Minister of Planning, Economic Affairs and Development noted a strong enthusiasm for expanding businesses in critical sectors where Lamor excels, such as marine safety, environmental compliance and support services.
For Lamor, this mission marks a significant step forward in expanding our commercial footprint in the Caribbean. By safeguarding these vital marine ecosystems and strengthening disaster preparedness, we look forward to turning these strategic dialogues into lasting partnerships that benefit both global trade and local communities.
