Lamor supporting specialized emergency response training in Colombia

Colombia training May 2026 2

Lamor will be supporting the upcoming course, “Emergency Response Strategies for Fires and Spills in Ports and Offshore Operations,” taking place June 1–5 2026 in Cartagena, Colombia, at the SACS Group’s specialized Fire and Safety Training Center.

The training, led by SACS Group and organized in collaboration with Texas A&M University (TEEX), is delivered through the partnership agreement between SACS Group and Lamor.

This initiative is linked to TEEX's objective of establishing a maritime training academy in Cartagena in the near future. This goal is supported by SACS Group in collaboration with Lamor, highlighting the growing need for stronger emergency response expertise and practical training across the Maritime-Port, Oil & Gas, and Industrial sectors in Latin America.

The course combines SACS’ advanced fire and safety training methodologies with Lamor’s expertise in oil spill response and environmental protection. Participants will receive practical and tactical training focused on fire emergencies, spill response, operational readiness, and environmental risk mitigation in demanding maritime and offshore environments.

The collaboration highlights the importance of prevention, operational resilience, and knowledge-sharing in building safer and more sustainable operations across the region.
