Tier 2 Oil Spill Response exercise successfully conducted at Port of Duqm in Oman
Lamor Middle East and key stakeholders demonstrated rapid, coordinated response capabilities during a full-scale Tier 2 oil spill exercise at the Port of Duqm.
On 28 April 2026, Lamor carried out a successful Tier 2 oil spill response exercise in collaboration with the Port of Duqm. The operation involved the deployment of oil spill response (OSR) equipment from the jetty area at the client site, simulating a realistic emergency scenario.
The exercise brought together key stakeholders, including the Coast Guard, SEZAD Authority, OQ8, and OTTCO. It covered the full response chain, starting from initial notification through to on-site deployment and coordination.
The exercise was executed smoothly and demonstrated strong collaboration between all parties involved. During the debriefing, participants provided very positive feedback, highlighting the effectiveness of the response procedures and teamwork.
