Lamor is well known as an industry leader in oil spill clean-up equipment design and manufacture using state-of-the-art research and development. As a natural extension of this role, since 2004 Lamor has offered a full suite of services related to the industry. Lamor is recognized and acknowledged as an international training provider, and the Lamor Response Team (LRT) has responded to numerous oil spills around the world in every type of environment, including arctic, desert, jungle, off-shore, and rivers.
Lamor is recognized as a certified Training Center by the Nautical Institute and has for several years offered the International Maritime Organization (IMO) OSR training levels 1 – 3. The training is fully accredited by the Nautical Institute in the UK in accordance with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) standards and the Department of Trade and Industry Oil Spill Response Training Guidelines for the UK Offshore Industry.
As part of any oil spill response plan, a good contingency and risk assessment plan forms the backbone of successfully tackling incidents quickly and efficiently. Within the Lamor team, our experts have a wealth of global experience in Oil Spill Response and Contingency Planning. As a result, Lamor has been called in to either implement or review plans and procedures and to provide expertise on the selection and use of best available technology (BAT) and a variety of solutions to incidents.
Lamor offers Oil Spill Response (OSR) training for equipment such as skimmers, booms, pumps etc., as part of its portfolio. The OSR equipment packages include a set of products that are tested, certified and recommended to work together for the most effective, efficient and cost-effective oil recovery. Equipment package deliveries are supported by commissioning, including extensive training by Lamor technical staff in utilization and operation of the OSR equipment.
