Minimax 12
The MM 12 is a light, portable suction type oil skimmer, designed to recover oil from shorelines, harbors, rivers and lakes. The MM 12 uses the well proven Lamor brush wheel system, which combines high oil recovery capacity with a low free water pick-up rate. The MM 12 has proven its efficiency in continuous recovery operations during hundreds of oil spills, in all conditions and encountering all types of spilled oil and its capacity is certified by Bureau Veritas.
The MM 12, weighing only 28 kg (62 lbs), is a hand portable skimmer with a recovery rate of up to 19.6 m³/hr (123.3 bbl/h) (ASTM F 631-99). The certified maximum capacity in ideal conditions is 45.4 m³/hr (285.6 bbl/h). The brush wheels will recover any floating oils which remain fluid.
The MM 12 is entirely hydraulic and is supplied complete with a diesel powered hydraulic power pack and all necessary ancillary equipment. The unit should be connected to an effective suction pump or vacuum system. Optionally the power pack can be either electrically, gasoline or diesel driven.
Usage Areas

Preferred package solution

Oil transfer and hydraulic hoses can be supplied in variable lengths, e.g. 15m. The Lamor Power Pack (LPP6 HA/C75) is recommended to power the Minimax 12 skimmer for the recovery of light to heavy oil viscosities and its capacities has been certified by Bureau Veritas.
The LPP6 HA/C75 is a compact multi-purpose hydraulic power unit, joined to a powerful oil transfer pump, the Spate C75 pump. The integral Spate C75 pump is a self-priming double diaphragm pump with a maximum capacity of 30 m³/hr. The pump can handle solids up to 6mm in size, and all seals are constructed from synthetic rubber for protection against all oils encountered.
The LPP6 HA/C75 is mounted on a tough and portable steel 2-wheeled site chassis with collapsible handle allowing for easy deployment and it is equipped with an electric start as standard and with a manual start as back-up.
The Lamor Collapsible Tank (LCT 7.6), with a capacity of storing 7600 liters, is recommended for temporary storage of recovered oil. The LCT is so designed that it represents a highly versatile method of tackling the challenges presented when having to recover and store oil in remote locations. The hexagonal shape of the tank allows for even distribution of weight.
The LCT fabric is constructed from durable PVC with excellent resistance to the effects of hydrocarbons and UV radiation. The tubular tank frame is manufactured from galvanized steel and provides a strong support for the tank fabric.
