Solid Floatation Boom (SFB)
The Solid Floatation Boom (SFB) is developed to meet all current requirements for a rapid deployment coupled with financial sustainability. The SFB is a light-weight boom made of highly durable materials making it easy to deploy and designed to capture and contain floating oil and debris.
The SFB represents a cost-effective way of maintaining readiness in multiple scenarios and environments ranging from industrial sites to rivers and harbors. Manufactured from PVC fabric with built in foam floatation, top tension cable, chain ballast and connectors, the versatile system is made in accordance with customer-specific needs.
The Lamor SFB is available in sizes ranging from 150 mm (6”) to 635 mm (24”) total height. The closed-cell foam logs are 1800 mm (6 ft) long. The most popular one is the SFB 18”, which has a section length of 30m, freeboard 150mm, draft 305mm, height 455mm, weight 3kg/m.
