Lamor Group is strengthened by newly appointed Executive Chairman

Porvoo, Finland – The Lamor Group Board is pleased to announce that as of 1st of February 2009 Mr. Juho Lipsanen is appointed Executive Chairman of the Board.

Lipsanen has an extensive background from running public companies in the consumer as well as energy business, the highlights of his track record being TeliaSonera Finland, Alma Media and ABB. Currently he is also Chairman of Vapo, the leading Nordic bio-energy company. Lipsanen is well known also within Lamor, where he has been the management coach and advisor since last summer.

“I am happy to welcome our new Executive Chairman Juho Lipsanen to the team,” says Nico Larsen, newly appointed CEO of Lamor Group.  “My late father, Bent Larsen, who continued leading the company that my grandfather Böge Larsen had founded, had great respect for Juho Lipsanen and I am also confident that he will add a lot of value and structure in the further development of Lamor,” Nico Larsen continues.

“Three quarters of my life I have worked for the energy sector at ABB. The energy and environment sector is well known to me from different angles,” Lipsanen commented on accepting his latest post.

The current Chairman of the Board, Fred Larsen, will continue as an active board member and focus on improving communication with key clients and business development, thus ensuring that the Lamor values are respected. Nico and Fred Larsen are both committed to continue the Lamor success story that was envisioned years ago and they will continue the Larsen legacy as a family company. “By combining Lamor values, experience in leadership and young energy, we are in good shape to face the future,” Fred Larsen commented after the new set up was agreed upon.

Former CEO, Rasmus Guldbrand, does not currently hold a position in the Lamor Group.
